About me

Roisin graduated from the Northern Ireland School of Podiatric Medicine in 1990, obtaining her D.Pod.M diploma in podiatric medicine.

The practices in Newry (Monaghan St.) & Kilkeel (Mourne Feet) opened in December 1990. Roisin enjoyed 2 years working within the NHS, in with diabetic, verrucae and biomechanical clinics acute hospital services alongside general practice.

In March 1991, the practice in Rostrevor opened on Bridge St, and just over a year later in June 1992 the Newcastle branch.

Following further study Roisin obtained her B.Sc (Podiatry) from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.

In 2020 Roisin celebrates 30 years since the opening of both practices in which she is based, Newry & Kilkeel.

Roisin is a member of the Royal College of podiatrists and is the Chairperson of the branch of the Royal College in Northern Ireland.
Roisin sits on several committees and groups in the Royal College of Podiatry, London including the Independent Practice Group acting as N.I. private practice representative.

Roisin is also registered with HCPC HealthCare professions council as well as being a member of the Federation of small businesses (FSB).
Roisin’s hobbies include swimming, playing the harp and walking.

What is podiatry?

Podiatry is a degree educated profession, regulated by HCPC (health care profession council) podiatrists treat conditions of the foot, ankle and associated structures.

Podiatrists are trained to assess, diagnose, treat and give advice on all aspects of the foot and lower limbs. Specialist skills include diabetic foot management, sports medicine, muscular skeletal diagnosis, peripheral vascular disease management.
